Patrick joined Lydian as General Counsel in 2024, bringing more than 15 years of experience in renewable energy and corporate transactions. Before Lydian, Patrick served as CEO of Aspen Creek Power, where he led Aspen’s initial growth and merger to form Headwater Energy, a Southeast-focused renewable developer/IPP. Prior to Aspen/Headwater, he worked at Cypress Creek Renewables from 2014-2022, most recently as Deputy General Counsel. At Cypress, he was responsible for scores of successful deal executions, including corporate and project M&A and financings; EPC, O&M and procurement agreements; and PPA, VPPA and REC agreements. Before Cypress, Patrick was an attorney with Jones Day from 2011-2014, where he worked on public and private M&A transactions across industries with aggregate transaction value exceeding $75 billion. Patrick received his BA from Middlebury College and his JD from Columbia Law School. Patrick is licensed to practice in New York, with application pending in Washington, D.C.
